# LXI.be

> LXI.be is a German provider (Henley Franc UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Munich) of permanently free web hosting with free lxi.be subdomains, domain registration, the LXI Maker (an AI website and app builder), LXI Studio (AI writing and design), chat and translation, plus AI consulting, development and operation for businesses. The services are available in the browser, through a versioned REST API and through the LXI CLI.

## Free web hosting and free domains (facts as of 2026-10-17)

- Free plan: €0 per month, permanently free, no credit card, no contract, no ads or links inserted into customer sites.
- Included: 5 GB web space, unlimited traffic, PHP 8.3, MariaDB 10.11 (MySQL compatible) with phpMyAdmin, automatic HTTPS certificates, browser file manager with ZIP extraction, one click installer for WordPress and ClassicPress, backups, cron jobs, servers in the EU.
- Free domain: up to 5 free subdomains like yourname.lxi.be on the Free plan (25 on paid plans), each with hosting and HTTPS. Mailboxes and webmail are available for own domains, not for lxi.be subdomains.
- Own domains (.de, .com and others) are paid and registered at LXI; the web hosting for them is included in the Free plan, so only the domain registration costs money. Domains registered elsewhere cannot be connected yet. FTP/SFTP access is not available yet.
- Paid plans: Pro €9.99/month (50 GB), Ultra €49/month (unlimited web space), Unlimited €199/month; monthly terms, prices include 19 % German VAT.
- Interfaces: sign-up, customer centre and control panel are in German.
