Model Context Protocol
Your AI app works with LXI.
Connect Maker, domains, hosting, translations, and other LXI features to your AI assistant. You decide which areas it may use.
Connect with browser sign-in
- Open your AI app's MCP settings and add a remote server.
- Use as address
https://lxi.be/mcpand as the transport Streamable HTTP. - Sign in to LXI and confirm the requested access rights. You can deselect individual rights.
- The app can now retrieve the shared tools and data.
Access supports OAuth with PKCE S256. Authorization codes are valid for five minutes and single-use only. Access tokens are valid for one hour; refresh tokens are rotated on each use and valid for a maximum of 30 days. Revoked access cannot be renewed.
Connect with an API token
Create in the Customer center a token with the required rights. If your app supports custom HTTP headers, use this structure. The exact names of the configuration fields depend on the app.
{
"mcpServers": {
"lxi": {
"url": "https://lxi.be/mcp",
"headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer DEIN_LXI_API_TOKEN"}
}
}
}Use a separate credential for each app. Enter tokens only in your client's protected configuration.
For apps with local MCP access
The local adapter uses stdio and calls the same LXI API. It requires Python 3.11 or later.
python -m pip install https://lxi.be/downloads/lxi_mcp-1.1.0-py3-none-any.whl{
"mcpServers": {
"lxi": {
"command": "lxi-mcp",
"env": {"LXI_API_TOKEN": "DEIN_LXI_API_TOKEN"}
}
}
}The app must lxi-mcp find in the search path. If using a virtual Python environment, you can enter the full path to the executable instead.
Tools for the LXI API
The server provides 42 tools. A client only sees the tools its token is authorized for. Parameters, required fields, and data types are listed in the inputSchema of the tool catalog. Path and query parameters are directly in the argument object, JSON requests under body.
