Practical guide
Introducing Private AI: your AI under your control
Find company knowledge faster, automate tasks and keep your data under control. With Private AI, your team gets its own AI environment. This guide takes you from the first use case to deployment in your company.
Start with a clear use case
Choose a recurring task for which suitable data and a specialist contact are available. Examples are searching in approved manuals, pre-structuring incoming documents or an assistant for internal processes. Describe the current effort and the desired result.
Separate suggestions from decisions: Should the AI only create a draft, find a source or actually make a change in a system? The greater the impact of an action, the more important permissions, approvals and traceable logs become. For a first pilot project, a connection with read-only rights may make more sense than an agent with extensive write rights.
Connecting your knowledge with the right people
Your manuals, policies and project documents become the knowledge base for the AI. Roles and permissions ensure that employees use the sources approved for them.
- Choose the data sources for your use case.
- Assign access to roles and teams.
- Define retention and deletion of documents and conversation histories.
- Integrate updates into document search and knowledge index.
- Name contacts for content, IT and privacy.
With a custom solution from LXI, these building blocks become part of development and integration.
Cloud in Germany or the EU or own infrastructure
Choose the location that suits your company. Your own cloud environment in Germany or the EU offers you managed infrastructure with flexible capacity. On your own servers, you keep the application, models and knowledge directly in your IT.
For a hybrid solution, sensitive data stays internal while selected cloud functions are added. We combine data location, access rights and capacity into a suitable architecture. Discover our Private AI solutions.
Evaluating the pilot project on real tasks
Put together a small, representative test set. It should contain easy, difficult and deliberately unanswerable questions. Before testing, define what counts as a usable answer: for example, a correct statement with a traceable source, a correctly completed data field or an explicitly recognised knowledge gap.
Compare results with the previous workflow. In addition to answer quality, record correction effort, processing time and error types. Test access with different roles. A good result for administrators is not enough if the application may see different data in everyday use.
From pilot to permanent use
A good AI solution grows with your company. New documents, feedback from the team and further use cases flow into continued development. Regular reviews keep answer quality and access rights in check.
With LXI you get consulting, development, integration and, if desired, operation from a single source. Describe your task and approximate team size in the enterprise contact form. We will show you the way to your custom AI solution.
